Imagine if you could take a natural supplement that may help you after birth with your energy levels, regulating hormonal changes, reducing the likelihood of post-partum depression and mood swings and even encouraging increased milk production.
You can! Your placenta, the amazing life giving organ that has supported your baby for all these months can also support you during your postpartum recovery.
I prepare your placenta using the Traditional Chinese Medicine method. After being gently steamed with warming foods to promote life force energy (lemon, ginger and jalapeño pepper), dehydrated at a very low temperature and then ground to a fine powder, the powder is then put into vegetarian capsules and presented to you in a beautiful blue glass jar. Many women have reported that they could not have managed without their placenta capsules.
Initially take two capsules three times a day to see its effects and adjust dosage according to your needs. Any leftover capsules can be frozen for many years and taken at times of need, perhaps when you are feeling run down or even to help with menopausal symptoms later in life.
Cost for the service is $200
What the service includes
- On call for collection of your placenta 2 weeks before your due date and two weeks after.
- Collection of the placenta from your birth place between the hours of 8am and 9pm.
- Preparation and dehydration of the placenta.
- Return of the capsules within 3 days of pickup, often sooner.
Additionally I can also prepare a placenta tincture which can be a great support for you after you have run out of capsules. The tincture is made from a piece of your raw placenta which is steeped in vodka over a period of 6 weeks, making a powerful remedy. It is then strained and presented to you in a glass bottle with a dropper. Placenta tincture may be helpful at times when you need more emotional and mental support and may also be very beneficial for balancing the symptoms of PMS and menopause. The suggested dosage is 10-40 drops in water up to 3 times a day when needed.
Cost of placenta tincture including delivery after 6 weeks is an additional $35 for a 4oz bottle

I can collect your placenta from your hospital, birth center or home and deliver the capsules to you at the location of your choice; usually at home unless you have an extended stay in hospital.
When preparing your placenta I use sterile equipment and disposable products and only prepare one placenta at any one time.
